Hey Raul Ries, I just want to let you know that I came to your church many years ago when I wasn't a Christian and always felt convicted but never gave to my life to God fully and completely, But I did last year and I just want to say from the heart Thank you for being an awesome Pastor and being humble, and loyal to Jesus Christ. It brings tears of Joy to know that a God has used you mightily and heavily. And Thank you for teaching the Bible verse upon verse and Chapter upon Chapter and book upon Book. I go to two different churches, one that I serve at and I go to yours to get spiritually fed and you have never failed to teach truth. Whenever I go through times of trouble at my other church, God has used your teachings as a vessel of comfort and I thank God for the truth you teach. I go to a Bible college, and it is soooooooo inspiring to see you teach and it is so plainly taught you don't use fancy words but scripture and words that everyone can understand. I also love how you tie Theology into scripure, Abiding in Christ John 15 and it says it rather than using implications like Acts ch.9, but I dare not blasphemy the Holy Spirit. But its from The Bible and its so plainly said so that everyone may understand. Thank You Raul for speaking truth and not being a church of religion but a true Christ following Church practicing truth and Biblical perspectives. May God recieve all the Glory and May He bless you Abundantly!

Dear Pastor Raul,
I served in the U.S. Army during 1969-1971, and I recently watched your DVD "Taking the Hill" and it hit like a sack of potatoes. I volunteered for Airborne, but was rejected due to a fractured right leg in two spots; and then when I was being groomed for Sniper during Basic Training, I stepped in a goofer hole on the last 30 mile hike and my leg got swollen like a football which inevitably keep me out of Vietnam. After some special training, I was assigned to the Island of Okinawa where I meet Jesus and served 18 months, getting a 1 month early out because of it being war time. I never knew the pain my brothers in combat were suffering until you brought it to my attention; and this last Sunday punctuated it when I saw you hesitate during your sermon. The church, my family, and I love you very much and don't want to see you fall by the wayside. Please be assured we are lifting you up in prayer for peace and comfort as you continue the battle to Save Souls.
While in prayer for you, our Lord Jesus Christ gave me this to pass on to you. To remember that He is our Jehovah-Shalom (The Lord our Peace). This magnificant title can be seen in the 23rd Psalm, verses 2, 3: "He leadeth me beside the still waters, He restoreth my soul." Then in John 14:27, He reminded us in the N.T. "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." And then once again in John 16:33, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world."
God Bless you Pastor, see you this Sunday.

My wife and I find your teaching of God's word powerful, pure, and firm. Because you teach the word as meant to be, boldly without unnecessary jokes and personal stories.
Even though we are attending a good bible teaching church after we moved four years ago, we just started listening to your weekly bible study online and found it very refreshing, and convicting. And this will help us to fight a good fight, be faithful, and finish the race God bless you, Raul.

Hello, Pastor Raul.

I just want to thank you for honoring the call that the Lord has put in your life. You have been a role model in my life, even though you don't know it. I was raised in CCGS and before that my family attended the church when it was still in West Covina. You went to high school with my father, Adrian Ruiz, my uncle Rey Ruiz and my mother Lillian and they are witnesses to me of the transforming love of Christ in your life. For the past 2 years I've been living in Santa Maria, Ca. I've rededicated my life to the Lord since then and I've felt a hunger for His truth like never before. I've been in my Bible alot and I do online studys from your teachings from CCGS. I've been reading alot of commentaries from Dr. Ironside, and have even taken an interest in apologetics. Every time my wife and I head down to Baldwin Park to visit family I get excited because I know I'll be able to catch a service at CCGS. I've been praying for the Lord to open up a job opportunity down south so I could be closer to my 4 year old boy whom I don't get to see as often as I like. Also, I feel like CCGS should be my familys home church. My wife loves CCGS, but it's hard to get her to agree to the 3 hour move south. The Lord has put a deep desire in my heart to serve in ministry and I fear that I, at 29 years of age, have wasted enough time serving the world and I don't want to miss out on doing something great for the Lord. I can't really get involved with the church that my wifes family attends here because I don't share the church's vision. Alot of their teaching is derived from The Word Faith/ Prosperity Gospel movement and I know that is NOT the way the Gospel was intended to be preached. Can you please give me some advice on how to handle the situation of finding a new church that I and my family can grow in? I'm in need of a bible teaching church that holds fast to the same doctrine and theological beliefs as Calvary Chapel. You've taught me the importance of sound doctrine and theology. I've read your book "Doctrine" and I hunger so much for a church in this area that can meet those standards. Sometimes I feel alone in my view and I really need to surround myself with wise and disciplined men of God that I can be accountable to. Please pray for me and my family Pastor Raul. I know the power of prayer is mighty and I know that it works. I don't want to let this fire burn out. I want to fulfill whatever purpose the Lord has put in my life. I just want to do for others what you have done for me and so many; SHARE THE LOVE OF CHRIST AND HIS TRANSFORMING POWER. Thank you, Pastor Raul! I look forward to my next trip down south so I could sit in on one of your teachings. God be with you.

Respectfully,
Michael Ruiz Whosoever

Dear Pastor Raul,

Thank you for helping me so much over the last few months. Your message on KWAVE has taught me to stand and fight in a quiet manner. God is doing something amazing and I am thanking you for sharing your knowledge and experience with all of us. It's so sweet how God takes care of us by putting the right teacher in my path at the exact right time. May God richly bless you and your family this Christmas!

In His Service,
